Hello Wonderlandians,
Today I went in to my local Dollar General. It was recently built near my hometown. I decided to take a look at their makeup section and low and behold there was a brand I had never heard of and looked very much like some of the Lime Crime shades I own. Get this though, they only cost $2.50. I finally got around to swatching them today and they are actually pretty impressive. There was one that was slightly harder and dragged on the skin, but the color is gorgeous!

L-R: Blackest Black, Chalice, Lavenderism, Dolphin, Where's Nemo, and Black
Here are the swatches:

L-R: Blackest Black, Chalice, Lavenderism, Dolphin, Where's Nemo, and Black
Underneath L-R: Styletto, No She Didn't, Crybaby, and Mint to Be
As you can see the colors are vibrant, the pigmentation is pretty amazing for $2.50 lipstick! Well done Broadway Colors well done.
I also went ahead and compared them to some of the Lime Crime lipsticks I have. I have to say that the Ultra Matte Lipstick in Dolphin is a definite dupe for Lime Crime's Crybaby lipstick. They even have a similar feel to them on the skin and on the lips.
Alice Points:
Pigmentation is great
Affordable
Comfortable to wear
Red Queen Points:
Chalice was dryer and hard to swatch
Only found in Dollar General (as far as I can tell)
Overall I think this is a great way to experiment with color without putting a dent in your wallet.
8 out of 10 tarts
